Syllabus Classes
$15/class or $25/month
Bronze Syllabus:
Tuesdays 6:00 — 7:30pm
Silver Syllabus:
Saturdays 11:30am — 12:30pm
-
Technique classes teach a standardized, official list of approved dance steps, figures, and technical rules for specific skill levels. The structured curricula ensure dancers learn uniform timing, footwork, and posture, designed to turn great performers into captivating dancers. In these classes, coaches dissect steps and break down movement, to really dive deep into body positioning/control, balance, weight transfer, swing and sway/rise and fall, etc. all while dancers learn proper NDCA terminology.
-
New to ballroom? New to ballroom? This is your starting point. Bronze introduces dancers to the foundations of ballroom while building confidence, technique, and familiarity. Whether you're stepping onto the ballroom floor for the very first time or looking to build a strong foundation, Bronze is where it all begins. No previous experience required! You must pass off a Syllabus Medals exam before graduating from this level*
-
For dancers who are ready for more! Silver builds upon the foundations of Bronze with more advanced steps, technique, styling, partnering, musicality, and performance skills. Designed for experienced dancers, this class challenges you to refine your dancing, elevate your performance, and go from supporting actor to Leading Role. *You must complete Bronze Syllabus, or complete a Bronze Medals exam before attending Silver. *

NUDE LEOTARD - all female dancers are required to have a skin-toned leotard. Leotards must be opaque, and if you will not be wearing any undergarments, it must be lined in the bust.
NUDE DANCE BRA - all female dancers who currently wear bras need to have a Ballroom-approved dance bra that meet the following requirements:
- tan or skin-toned
- straps in the back do not come up higher than your dance leotard.
- shoulder straps must be hidden under your dance leotard, and must be the same color as your dance leotard.
- bras with clear, adjustable straps are preffered but not required.
DANCE SHORTS - Each female dancer needs to have either black or white dance shorts. They need to be tight fitting, and go to mid thigh. Each team will specify which color a dancer needs, and if any other colors are needed, they will be assigned with costumes by the studio.
See team color requirements below:
Medley: Black
Youth Showdance: Black or white
Senior Starlettes: Black
Junior Starlettes: White
Pre-Teen: Black
TIGHTS & FISHNETS - Dancers on Pre Teen Showdance, Junior Starlettes, Youth Showdance, and Senior Starlettes are required to have a set of tights/pantyhose, as well as a set of tan fishnets.
Tights need to be opaque and close to your skintone.
We suggest either transitional feet, or stirrup, because they will have some pretty heavy wear and tear.
Fishnets need to be 2 shades darker than your skintone. They cannot have a seam in the back. We suggest the ones with the reinforced bottoms, but NOT reinforced toes. Reinforced toes will not be allowed when competing Latin, as it will show in the shoes.
🌟GENTLEMEN
FITTED UNDERSHIRT- All male dancers are required to have either a black or white undershirt, based on team. Undershirts can be short sleeve or tank top, must have a lower neckline, and must be tight fitting to ensure costumes can fit over them properly. All male dancers who will be receiving a Starter Kit are given a black tank top.
DANCE/ATHLETIC SHORTS- All male dancers are required to have black dance shorts or athletic shorts that go OVER undergarments. We want to ensure that all dancers have undergarments covered at all times when changing costumes, even when in changing rooms.
BLACK MID CALF SOCKS- Please make sure that if you wear black pants or shoes, you come wearing plain black socks. Socks need to be at least mid calf, have no print on them, and be in good repair. All men’s starter kits include 1 pair of black socks.

Hello Parents & Dancers!
We hope you have had a WONDERFUL summer, and are enjoying the last few days of freedom before the new season kicks off.
We have been working hard throughout the summer months prepping for the upcoming season. We are excited to share what’s in store for Star Struck Ballroom 2026-2027: Coast to Coast.
Here’s a breakdown of updates for you, click the update to skip to that section:
August Schedule: What to Expect
August Schedule: What to Expect
Class begins!
We know the first couple of weeks of August are still summer break for many families, and you may already have vacations or other commitments planned. If your dancer is in town, attendance is expected as we kick off the season. If they will be out of town or unable to attend due to a prior commitment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.
These first weeks are an important foundation for the year. We’ll be focusing on technique, introducing new routines, taking measurements, confirming costume sizing, and completing other season-start preparations. While dancers who miss class will have opportunities to catch up on choreography, attending these first classes helps them start the season with the rest of their team.
If your dancer will be absent, we’ll work with you to schedule a time to complete any necessary measurements and other season-start tasks so they don’t fall behind.
As a reminder, tuition remains the same during August, as your spot on the team is reserved and instruction, planning, and season preparation begin from the first day of classes, regardless of individual attendance.
Thank you for helping us get the season off to a smooth start—we’re so excited to kick off another great year together!
